Add extra hyd. valves to IH 806?

I have a 806 with a fully hydraulic loader. I don't know what brand the loader is, but I suppose it dosen't matter. My 806 has two hydraulic valves, so all is well, until I want to use an implement that requires additional hydraulic vaves for 806, then I have to unhook one set of loader hoses. I recently bought an IH loader valve which I was told came off of a 784 with a IH 2250 loader. This would be perfect for me, but I can't figure out how to plumb it in to my 806. Where can I tap in to pressure? One guy told me to plug it into one of the remotes, and then lock the lever for that remote ahead when I want to use the loader valve. That would be okay, but I would really like the loader valve to work independently of the 806's existing hyd. valves.

Well its complicated of course, 06/66 had options on tractors of no valves, or 1 or 2, then they had what they called a Power Beyond attachment, it took the hydraulic system power to a separate remote valve for a loader for example, this was done with a cast cover on end of valve additional hydraulic vaves for 806 under seat, this oil supply then was pressure controlled by the system relief. The way to get typical electrical load for vavs same results now is to mount a electric solenoid valve on 1 outlet to split oil flow to whichever valve you want, however you must lock 1 valve on demand. Finally on 86/88 and Magnums now you can get 2/3/4 valves and outlets.

Re: Add extra hyd. valves to IH 806? in reply to Jim A., 08-02-2003 21:47:55
You might at some scrap tractor sights. Additional hydraulic vaves for 806 made a power beyond block that would bolt to the side of the valve stack under the seat and everything worked just as you asked. the first 06"s had a plate to end the stack then the end plate was part of the second valve. With power beyond block you can add as many valves as you wish.If a person drilled to holes in the right places you would great the same thing. Other wise Hugh is right hard to add valve with out loosing one on the tractor.

Re: Add extra hyd. valves to IH 806? in reply to Jim A., 08-02-2003 21:47:55
Jim: I do remember that all of those additional hydraulic vaves for 806, 26, 56 and 66 series tractors had an available option of adding another valve to the existing valve bank. The three valves and levers were side by side. The set up was such that plumbing from the three valves went as follows; one valve was plumbed to side of tractor under fuel tank, the second one was plumbed to oposite side on front as well as to rear of tractor and the third valve was plumbed to rear of tractor only. The one that Additional hydraulic vaves for 806 was around some had the loader lift plumbed into the first valve with outlet only at side. The loader bucket dump was hooked to the valve at side that had side and rear outlets both. This left one valve completely free for rear implement hook up. I you needed two at rear all that was required was uncouple quick couplers to loader bucket.

As far as being completely independant no, those three valves will rob one from the other if you are trying to vav box kw per cfm all at the same time. The easiest function will always happen first. If you want them completely independant you will have to install another complete system; pump, bypass, valves and resovoir.
